Rules for Choosing a Poem
-
Choose a poem you like.
-
Read it over carefully.
-
It should take at least 30 seconds to recite
(12 lines minimum)
-
No bad language.
-
Check your selection with me. I may reject
it because it's badly written, boring, or offensive, or
for any other reason.
-
Write the poem out twice on two sheets of
paper, with bibliographic information, and give one copy
to me. Keep the other copy for yourself.
-
Start memorizing the poem early
