How to Choose a Poem

When you want to pick a poem to recite for class, here are some good rules:

  1. Choose a poem you really like.
  2. Read it over carefully.
  3. It should take at least 30 seconds to recite (12 lines minimum)
  4. No bad language.
  5. Check your selection with the teacher. I may reject it because it's badly written, boring, or offensive, or for any other reason.
  6. Send a copy of the poem to the teacher.
  7. Start memorizing the poem right away.
