Rules for Choosing a Poem

  1. Choose a poem you like.
  2. Read it over carefully.
  3. It should take at least 30 seconds to recite (12 lines minimum)
  4. No bad language.
  5. Check your selection with me. I may reject it because it's badly written, boring, or offensive, or for any other reason.
  6. Write the poem out twice on two sheets of paper, with bibliographic information, and give one copy to me. Keep the other copy for yourself.
  7. Start memorizing the poem early
