Fantasy novelist Delia Marshall Turner fences sabre, collects fountain pens, and hangs out with an assortment of bad characters.  Despite decades as a teacher, and despite various graduate degrees, she was not actually qualified to teach any of the subjects she taught.  She attributes her success to her complete inability to focus.*  She is the author of Nameless Magery and Of Swords and Spells.  Nameless Magery was nominated for the James Tiptree Jr. Award and for the Locus Award for Best First Novel, and the books were combined as the Science Fiction Book Club offering, The Ways of Magic.
